Sedd Miley
Seddrick Miley (born July 25, 1986), is an African American recording artist and songwriter from Miami, Florida. Raised by his grandmother on 46th Street in Brownsville—also called Brownsubs—SEDD came up in one of Miami’s most unforgiving neighborhoods, shaped by poverty, violence, and survival during the late ’80s, and early ’90s.
In 1998 he moved with his family to Rainbow City in West Perrine, carrying those experiences with him. At age 8, hearing The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Juicy” sparked something deeper than inspiration, it gave him a voice. He began writing lyrics as an outlet and by 12 he was already recording in the studio turning real life pressure into music.
In 2005, SEDD joined forces with longtime collaborator PAYPAY to form SECTION8HUD, a reflection of the environments that raised them. The duo released multiple independent projects, while building a loyal fan base from the ground up. As the industry shifted from CDs to digital platforms, they made a calculated move to own their future.
In 2012, they founded H.U.D. ENT. (Hold Us Down Entertainment), an independent entertainment company created to protect their catalog and distribute their music across all major platforms.
